What a weird smell. Was Mori collecting samples out in the marsh? Hopefully they weren't destroyed in the confusion.
Oh shoot. If they were, Mori would likely insist on going back out.
If Maven checked she could ensure they were okay. And if they weren't, she could offer to go replace them. She had grown rather familiar with the marsh, whatever samples Mori was getting she was sure she could replace. Anything so they weren't putting themselves in needless danger again.
She wiped down the bag, placed it on a table, and checked inside.
