Maven gasped as Mori collapsed back on the couch, then winced at the look on their face. She waited a moment for what she was sure a wave of pain to pass over, then placed a hand on Mori's shoulder and looked then in the eyes, "Mori, please. This isn't an imposition, this isn't a bother. You're my friend, this is what friends do. I understand the impulse and desire to insist things are fine when they clearly aren't, but you don't have to try this hard to put up such a front, it's okay to admit the truth."
